For a second time, we teamed up with J&P; Cycles to cruise through its massive catalog and select all the cool parts to put a chopper in your garage for free! Since J&P; is stocked with the complete Milwaukee Twins line and every brand under the sun, we knew it would be easy to outfit a cool ride. To get the bike built and painted, we decided that one-stop shopping would be the best way to go, so we turned to the experts at Damon's Motorcycle Creations.
By asking Damon's to handle both the fabrication and paint, we could assure the bike design was flawless. As you can see by the pictures, Tom and Jeff did nothing less than an incredible job on your new chopper. It looks great, rides nice, and turns heads at every stoplight. So if you want to win this bike, stop reading right now and fill out the entry card inside this magazine and get it into the mailbox.
Flipping through the J&P; catalog, we froze at the frame page that held the Milwaukee Twins Rigid with 38 degrees of neck rake, 4 inches of stretch in the downtubes, and another inch in the backbone. It would be the perfect platform to attach the Redneck Enginuity springer, which is new to the catalog this year.
Jeff felt that the best way to roll your new chopper around was to enlist the cooperating efforts of Performance Machine and Avon tires. He slid a 21-inch Trinity up front and a matching 18x5.5-incher out back with a 200 on it. Both wheels are stopped with the help of PM calipers and rotors, of course.
Powering the newest bike in your garage is the perfect balance of performance and value. We turned to S&S; for a 96ci motor that will move this lightweight machine down the road with ease. The addition of a Dyna ignition and Samson pipes were all we needed to move on to the Primo 3-inch open beltdrive and Milwaukee Twins five-speed transmission.
To create the lines of your new prized possession, Jeff and Tom went traditional chopper. Starting with no front fender, they moved straight to the gas tank that came from Daytec. It was equipped with a HotMatch gas cap and tweaked and shaped to accentuate the frame design. Next the Milwaukee Twins oil tank went under the welder and came out befitting of a custom chopper. Finally they spent some time turning a beautiful Fat Katz rear fender into a part of the machine by creating old-school struts to support it. The final welding sparks came from a HotMatch kickstand being installed.
Then it was just a matter of hauling everything next door to the paint shop. The Damon's crew can turn bike paintwork into museum-quality sculpture, so making sure it looked good would be no challenge. They laid down a very yellow basecoat, then added some brilliant red flames to assure attention.
Getting the bike on the road was simple. Jeff added Ness bars and hand controls. Milwaukee Twins forward controls and an Adjure headlamp up front. In the back, a Damon's license plate mount was combined with a J&P; Cycles taillight to assure illumination and a High End seat guarantees a nice ride. Jeff took care of the wiring and made sure all electrical needs were met with an MC Advantages charging kit.
When we fired the bike up for a few break in miles, the whole staff and Damon's crew gathered around. It seemed everyone wanted to be the first to roll the bike around town, but only one lucky winner will be the owner of this incredible machine. Have you entered yet?
