And one more thing, we've got a new editorial director. His name is Keith Ball, also known as "Bandit" from Easyriders magazine fame back when it was cool. He's got a lot of great ideas for STREET CHOPPER's future, plus decades of knowledge to draw from. Expect more Old School versus New School comparisons that are sure to keep you debating with your friends.
I dare you to show me your bike, I defy you to send me a picture of the shop you just opened up, and I challenge you to show me a new part for a chopper. Don't be afraid to contribute. I'm not begging for just anything, we get plenty of stuff sent in to this mag, but some of it is crap, and we try to run as little crap as possible. Keep in mind that THIS IS YOUR MAGAZINE. We can't do all the partying or have all the fun for you; it's up to you to go out there and make it happen. Grab your bike and a camera and go to that local rally, independent shop party, or ride to a bar where you know there'll be a crowd. Tell us about your unbelievable weekend on the road and prove it with some pictures. We'll do the drinking for you if we have to, but we don't want to hear you complain when you realize we're having all the fun.
I'm tired of all the pansies that read this magazine that only want to see cookie-cutter bikes without any soul. This magazine is trying to explore the spectrum of V-twin choppers, so please don't send in pics of bikes that are just bolt-together bikes built with parts straight out of a catalog - that's not what we want to print. If you're not into innovation, working with your hands, and having a good time, then put this magazine back where you got it and pick up a magazine that's sanitized, watered down, Disney-ized, and child-safe. If you really think that what you're riding, the places you're going, or the part you invented is halfway interesting, prove it by showing the nation. Email us, street.chopper@primedia.com, or send a letter with some photos or a disc.
Send in photos for "One For the Road" or I'll be forced to run more disturbing images in the back of this magazine (page 99).

We want to share what you ride with the other readers, so send in photos of your bike for "Your Bike Here." If you think your bike is cool, then you have no excuse - don't tell me about a bike you're building, show me what you've built!
