Nestled up in the San Bernardino Mountains lies the small resort town of Big Bear, California. Most notable for its ski resorts' close proximity for Southern California ski bums, the small town of Big Bear is gaining more and more attention within the motorcycle industry as the home of Big Bear Choppers. Since its popularity has grown as the producers of top-shelf custom motorcycles, Big Bear Choppers owners Kevin and Mona Alsop decided it was time to give Southern California motorcycle enthusiasts a reason to check out their beautiful town. With that came the First Annual Big Bear Choppers Ride the Mountain Bike Show.
The show took place on Saturday, June 28th at the Big Bear Lake Convention Center where more than 3,500 show attendees showed up to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery. There was plenty of food, drinks, and rockin' music from The Freyed Brothers to keep people going throughout the day. Show attendees also had the opportunity to shop and check out the latest and greatest from companies like Pro-One, MGS Customs, Custom Chrome, JIMS, and High End Seats. The ride in bike show gave contestants the chance to show off their custom bikes and win trophies and Big Bear Choppers clothing, while the biker games offered entertainment for spectators and participants.
All in all, the show was a great success, and with such a good turnout for the inaugural year, one can only imagine what the turnout will be like for next year, or the year after that.
