Sam "Morgan" Storm remembers riding the Wall of Death when she was almost 15 (after lying about her age to get in). Riders climb aboard a motorcycle inside a "drome"-essentially a track or mini-track with walls that may rise up to 90 degrees off the floor. The sheer speed at which the bikes travel keeps them on the wall rather than plummeting to the ground.
Sam, a legend in her own right, ran her own motordrome in the past and would like to try it again so she can pass on her skills to the next generation, as well as get more women involved in this daring sport. She's putting out the call for a wagon and wood, and will discuss details with whomever might be seriously interested in this project. She'd use the drome to scratch out a living and give something back: help animal organizations, charities, children, and the like.
Here's your chance to get involved in a great project and a piece of motorcycle history-and also eventually contribute to a good cause.

J&P Cycles is proud to announce that John Parham was one of five individuals recently inducted into the Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame for 2006. Parham was honored at a breakfast on August 9, 2006, at the Spearfish, SD, convention center during the Sturgis Rally & Races.
Over the past 30 years, Parham has become a well-known icon in the motorcycle industry. He fell in love with motorcycles at an early age, and for several years he dreamed of owning his own motorcycle shop. In 1975 the dream became a reality when John opened D&J Cycles with his high school science teacher. After four years in business, John and his partner decided to pursue different markets, and in 1979 John created J&P Cycles to focus on Harley-Davidson parts. He and his mechanic Ron continued to service bikes, and John started attending weekend swap meets and buying and selling new and used parts.
Both John and Jill Parham have spent their lives promoting the motorcycle industry, and even with everything that has changed, they continue to work hard day after day to keep J&P growing and moving toward the future. For the past 30 years John has set goals for himself and his business, and we look forward seeing his continued success in the years to come.
