On October 27, 2009 the Street Chopper staff threw a little party to observe four decades in the publishing business.
The event was held at the Screamin' Chicken Saloon in San Bernardino, California, where all things biker and chopper were born. (San Berdoo, not the Screamin'Chicken).
The party was less of an anniversary celebration and more of a salute to both the past generation of chopper builders as well as the new breed of DIY bike builders.
To add to the beer-fueled festivities, we had Biltwell supply us with helmets that were then painted by some of the best and brightest bike painters on the planet, which we raffled off to the crowd.
It truly was a great event that showed us how strong our ties have been to real chopper riders. So much so that most of the 300-plus attendees rode their cycles there. We were more than happy about that.
Enough talk, enjoy the photos.
