For the fourth year in a row Born Loser’s Mike Davis and FMA’s Grant Peterson have put together the best traditional chopper show the world has ever seen. With more than 4,000 bikes riding in and 15,000 people spectating, this one-day event’s magnitude has been felt all over the globe. And it will for years to come. The event, which was held on June 30th at Oak Canyon Ranch in Southern California had great weather and an all-around great vibe with friends both old and new coming together for the sake of cycles.
Vendors such as Biltwell, Lowbrow Customs, Loser Machine, Tres Noir, Vans, Factory Metal Works, Death Science, Us Versus Them, Heavy, Chassis Design, Georgie Boy, Wargasser, 74’s Forever, Choppahead, Baxter Motorcycle, Dice, Speakeasy Original, Duane Ballard Custom Leather, all lined the lawn with all sorts of chopper gear and components.
Caleb of Cro Customs, Matt Olsen, Jason Webber, Rene Astengo, Bacon, Jasin Phares, Brandon from Mullins Chain Drive, Max Shaaf, Shawn Donahue, Speed Merchants, Wil Thomas, Todd Asin of Small City Cycles, Tyler Lepore, Tyler Malinky, Jeff Leighton, Dave Polgreen, Aaron Elliot, Andy Carter of Pangea Speed, Steve Buchanan, Dave Barker of SpeedMetal fame, and Michael Barragan of Evil Spirit Engineering were just some of the 22 invited builders who assembled some of the nicest bikes we have ever laid eyes on. Don’t worry because many, if not all of them will be filling the pages of Street Chopper for months to come.
This year the boys of Born-Free didn’t just raffle off one stellar bike, they raffled off two 1969 Panheads to two separate, but very lucky winners who only had to plunk down $25 per ticket to win!
We can’t tell you enough about how great this show really was, so we are going to let the hundred or so photos tell you the story much better.
