Since we like to give away free motorcycles, and we are sure most people enjoy winning them, we felt it was time to get a new giveaway started. We have worked with J&P Cycles in the past on this type of project, and thanks to the vast inventory available in its catalog and on its website, we knew a sweet bike could be built. But who to build it?
A name that has been known to bike enthusiasts for years is Damon's, in Brea, California. Some of the cleanest, nicest bikes to roll into shows all over the country wear the Damon's signature paint style, but most people don't realize that it does custom builds at the shop as well. We stopped in to chat with Tom Prewitt and builder Jeff Carrion about our little project.
After some talk and conference calls with the crew at J&P back in Anamosa, Iowa, we agreed on a style, a basic parts list, and the months to build it. So, with no further delay, let's get around to building your new chopper, which coincidentally can be won by filling out the entry card in this very issue.
