It's almost a rite of passage for the male species. Regardless of your religious beliefs, at one point or another, you've fallen prey to the devil in a red dress. There's just something about incredible curves encased in scarlet packaging. The song lyric, "hurts so good," comes to mind. But enough about chicks in tight red dresses, for now anyway. You almost can't help but have a bordello fantasy going on when you look at this chopper. The wickedly red paintjob practically blows a kiss at you as it passes by. And then you come find out the bike is affectionately referred to as the Devil Bike, and forget it, an invitation to the party in Hell comes hand delivered.
It seems that Lucifer has influenced more than just the chopper featured on these pages in Jim Nasi's motorcycle underworld. Check out his website, a grinning skull with red glowing eyes and traditional curling horns will greet you along with some goth gray and black graphics laced with more bare bones. The glowing red "N" at the bottom of each page is kinda like an evil super villain trademark. The whole deal gives off a very sinister vibe.
Jim Nasi himself is no Satan. In fact, if you're ever lucky enough to meet the guy, you'll find he's a cool dude and true craftsman. Of course, that's more than an obvious statement when you look at the bikes and line of motorcycle parts he creates - they are incredibly smooth. Ass-kissing and truth-telling aside, Nasi is more commonly known for the long and low look in his bike stylings. A tour through his web gallery or past features in our sister publications will uphold that statement. Not that this bike is breaking any height records with an '04 Daytec/ Nasi Rigid with a 40-degree rake, plus another six in the trees and a 4-inch stretch, but for a Nasi bike, it's a different look. One we're glad he's taking on. Jim Nasi is known for his custom design work, and this bike's backend is quite the sculpted piece. As if the devil's tail was curving around the wheel, Nasi constructed the rear fender with an internal strut and molded it to the frame. Add to that blending of his highly customized sheetmetal, a Perse frontend, and it makes for a definite Nasi take on a chopper.
Again though, what's really wicked about this chopper is the paint. Everyone can thank the boys at Deano's, located in Tempe, Arizona, for the chrome and candy brandywine with tribal treatment. Under the sun, it glints like hellfire, as silky as molten brimstone. Hey, it's easy to get on the descriptive side when you look at this baby, because she's hot.
She's stacked too. The Devil Bike has an '04 124-inch S&S motor, a Mikuni HSR-45 carburetor, and the appropriately named Jim Nasi Customs' Sin pipes. While you're watching her disappear, leaving you wanting more - the good ones always do - check out one last cool detail. The taillight is a Jim Nasi Customs L.E.D Devil. Typical Nasi, it looks bad ass, just like a devil in a red dress should.
