While it's cool to get bikes and parts into the magazine from big-names and celebrity builders, it's even better when a guy from the middle of Nowheretown, USA, sends in a bike or a new part that blows our minds. Street Chopper celebrates the guy that builds because he loves bikes, particularly custom bikes, working out of his garage, or renting out a little space in someone's shop- like this month's cover bike from Gary Hetrick. Incredible innovation and soul that you just don't find at big shops that always seem to be concerned with the bottom line. Every shop and part manufacturer has to start somewhere, and the road to recognition from the industry starts with word-of-mouth and continues with magazine articles. Is your shop ready for some publicity?
How to get your bike into Street Chopper:
* Make a CD with a few jpeg images from a high-resolution digital camera (2-5 megabytes minimum).

* Include a detailed spec sheet that lists all the parts of the bike that point out your custom touches.
* Tell us why you think your bike belongs in the magazine.

Another way to inform the public about your shop's location is to get it into our Full Service department. Full Service reports on news around the chopper world and helps to get new and veteran shops into the public's eye without much effort.
This is how to get your shop into Full Service:
* Take a few pictures of your storefront or the inside of your shop, and remember to light up the inside of your shop as best you can.
* Make a CD using hi-res jpeg images.
* Provide information about what your shop is capable of, what you work on, and all of your contact info.

A few things to remember when submitting material:
* No Baggers (we have nothing against 'em, they just don't fit in the magazine).
* The better the photography, the more likely your submission will be used. If you think the photography of your bike/shop/part is bad, don't even bother sending it in. Re-shoot it, and then send it to us.
* Provide more information about it than you think we'll need.
* The sooner you send something in, the sooner it will get published in the magazine.
