In the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada, lies a shop by the name of Count's Kustoms. They have been building custom one-off bikes for over seven years. Most of the bikes that come out of that shop have long frontends, hardtail frames, and big inch motors, along with crazy paint jobs. The shop is going strong and orders for custom bikes are still at the top of the list, but this year with the crackdown on special construction bikes (the state is making it harder to get tags), the shop wanted to offer a fully manufactured 50-state legal bike-the "NUB" Production Chopper.
The NUB has an attractive starting price of $19,999. This strategic price-point provides more buying options to customers wanting to own a Count's Kustoms chopper. The NUB starts with a rigid frame from Chopper Guys with a 36-degree rake in the neck and 1-inch added to the backbone. A stock-length frontend from Pro-One houses a 21-inch front wheel with a 18x200mm Metzeler rolling out back.
As far as power, there is plenty; this bike has a 96-ci S&S powerplant and a six-speed transmission. Connecting the two is a closed Indian primary drive. As you plan out your bike, you can get the handlebars at the height you need, but this bike has a set of 14-inch apes with H-D controls and switches. To keep your feet off the road, controls from RST come standard and keep with the black theme of the bike.
To make the bike even more unique, the tank, fenders, and frame are all Count's Kustoms original designs. On top of this is all the integrity and craftsmanship that goes into every Count's Kustoms build. Like all Count's Kustoms' choppers, The NUB can be 100% financed, and is just a first in a series of production bikes that Count's Kustoms will roll out this year. Count's Kustoms is a state licensed manufacturer of custom choppers and hot rods.
The shop is owned and operated by Danny "The Count" Koker and Lead Builder Shannon Aikau. The 23,000 sq-ft. shop offers full service frame-up builds, eye-catching paint, and upholstery and merchandise shop under one roof. Using only professional-grade parts, bikes are built with razor-sharp attention to detail, from the frame and the final paint to fit and finish, embodying individuality and forward thinking, with a nod to the chopper's enduring heritage.
