The Street carries on Brass Knuckle's tradition of custom frame studs. "Stainless steel studs have been our weapon of choice in the past, but we opted for brass on this bike to provide more contrast with the frame," Matt said. The bike was actually finished at one point before they added the frame studs. Now, get this: Matt thought there wasn't enough contrast between the frame and the drivetrain components, so he and Dad took it back apart and added the brass studs, which amounted to about 12 more hours of machine time. But hey, having the bike broken down afforded them some additional opportunities to fine tune and tweak their work.
With round two done, the list of checks and balances complete, and a final thumbs-up from Matt and Russell, the bike was finished and they were "infinitely pleased with the final product." Wait a minute...there's gotta be at least one afterthought there. Right, Matt?
