CTM Customs Nitro Express - One Part Rockabilly, Two Parts Girls And Trucks

As if driving doesn't have enough distractions (eating, phones, texting!?, and so on), Aaron was daydreaming of the day he would be on his new bike and came across another idea: a Peterbilt truck emblem. "He came to us and inquired about adding the emblem to his ride," Matt said. "A second emblem was obtained and thus we created an oil tank that sports the two Peterbilt truck emblems." Another theme that worked its way into this build is half rock and half hillbilly, otherwise rockabilly, and the fact that Aaron "is a true rockabilly connoisseur," according to Matt. "After several hours of debate, plenty of rockabilly music, and quite a few beers, the CTM Customs creation began to take shape." A handmade sissy bar, custom exhaust pipes with added truck-style heat shields, hot-rod style seat with 350 Chevy valve springs for comfort, classic black and white paint, and some diamond plate were added. The Harley-Davidson tool bag is the ignition box.

Nearing completion this bike started taking on the trucker/hot rod-style appearance. "It was during this time that while listening to a song by Junior Brown and Red Simpson [two famous rockabilly singers] that this piece became known as the 'Nitro Express'-a truck talked about in their song," Matt said. So the sexy silhouetted trucker girls share a space with the "manufacturers of premium quality trucks"...how interesting and ironic.

Last year and up until now, Matt and his crew have been traveling to many bike shows up and down the East Coast, "partly due to the high demand for the Nitro Express," Matt said. To cap things off, this scoot won its class at the Rat's Hole bike show at Biketoberfest. Due to traveling and doting the Nitro around, "the owner [Aaron] has had to defer back to his Road King, which has also been customized by CTM Customs," Matt remarked. We'd miss those trucker girls, too.
