Overall, our experience with the BBC Merc was a positive one. Our only complaint was that we didn't get to take the bike home and park it in our garage. The Merc Softail retails for $26,900 as tested, or for the purists out there, they have a rigid frame version for $24,900. For the home builder they offer both the Softail and rigid frame versions that come unassembled and unpainted for $17,500 for the rigid and $18,500 for the Softail versions.
