1959 Chopper Panhead - The Raped Grape

At one time The Raped Grape was in a swingarm frame with a nice set of chrome shocks, looked good and ran well, and was a nice, comfy ride. But in true Nathan form, he came across a rigid kit for the bike. He cut up the frame and welded on a Paughco hardtail rear end and swapped out the Wide Glide for an old 16-over Girder. With all that going on, he decided to send out a box of parts to get some new chrome on the bike and to freshen up the motor with some new valves, pistons, and a Mallory ignition to help at start time. The bike was sent back to painter Buck at Buck Wild Design in Covina, CA, to get painted. Good thing he's a friend of Nathan's and didn't get too mad when he saw what Nathan had done to the frame; it was all welded and grounded up. Once again, in true "Slow Laner" form, the bike was put back on the road in no time, finding all the same old roads, bars, and rallies it had in the past when Richard rode it.

This bike has one long and cool past and a long future ahead with Nathan and his son, Blue, next on the hand-me-down list. At this rate the The Raped Grape will go on from "Slow Laner" father to "Slow Laner" son on and on. Thanks, dad-riding the slow lane forever.
