Building A Religion
Brian Malkowski, from Toledo, OH, was happy with his '04 Lowrider. What's not to like about a brand new, stock Dyna? Ah, you must have caught on to the key word as well-stock. For most of our readers, the dirty "s" word is sheer blasphemy, and the longer one's bike remains is this wretched condition, the longer it takes to have a well-received and praised street custom. Well, Brian wallowed in nagging denial for long enough-the time had come for his low-low to finally meet its prophesized maker.
Although Brian was willing and ready to tear his bike apart, he did have one slight reservation-he had no experience with a job of this magnitude. Once Brian found his bike in pieces, there was nothing left to do but take a few breaths and dive into the deep end. With a steady hand and unrelenting faith in his own personal interpretation of the chopper gospel, Brian has successfully converted this once sinfully stock ride into his street's most righteous saint.

Prescriptive Engineering
Delbert "Mutiny" Soucier Jr. from Fayetteville, NC, found himself in a bit of a pickle when he discovered that his '03 hugger had mysteriously vanished. Life shortly threw him a couple more screwballs once he learned of his father's deteriorating health and the news that he was a daddy-to-be. Chaotic times, you say? Yeah, maybe just a bit.
With Mutiny's dire need to get his knees back into the breeze, he scouted for the least expensive project bike he could find. The search came to an abrupt halt with the discovery of a salvaged '88 Sportster. Delbert's newly acquired Sporty motor paired perfectly with his '05 Detroit Bros. drop-seat frame.
After sketching some design ideas, Delbert discovered that he would be able to custom fab some of his own bike components. The finished results prove to be a prime example of the rewards of building the bike of your dreams while on an average Joe budget. Dedication and the craving for the pavement, once again, cure the many symptoms that plague the common motorcycle enthusiast.
