Nestled in a postapocalyptic industrial hellhole somewhere around Pomona, California, one half of Hi-Bond Modified (the other half, managed by Cole Foster, resides in Watsonville, California) sits between graphitized parade floats and Mexican trucking companies. Rick "Rico" Fodrey, the proprietor of this arm of Hi-Bond Modified, is always ready to tackle the next KnucklePanShovelEvo-headed bike that rolls in.
Rico, aka Father Fury, is not only the man behind Hi-Bond, he is also the self-proclaimed mouthpiece of the Sinners and one of the founding members of the way-before-their-time Lonely Kings car club.
Other than being a cool guy by design, Rico also has over 25 years in the bike business as a factory-trained Harley-Davidson mechanic. Shortly after his certification was completed, Rico worked at a few H-D shops, then the legendary Wink Eller taught him real-world mechanical aptitude.
After working on as many of his own customer's bikes at night as he did during the day, Rico decided it was time to open his own shop a few years back, and he has been turning piles of shit into gold ever since.
Despite its surroundings, Rico's shop is a full-service diamond in the rough, and the look and feel of this space harks back to when men built bikes and kept them running as a necessity. The shop also has a punk rock DIY vibe to it, and you can believe that it's chock-full of handmade one-off Harley building tools and 70-year-old machinery that gets the job done better than anything that can be bought new.
