From his compound dubbed "The Fab Farm" in Redlands, California, Riverside Slim operates Slim's Fabrication.
By looking at the skinny punk rock kid from SoCal, most pin their snap judgment on him that he's just some loudmouth hack who cobbles together bikes with tack welds. This couldn't be further from the truth. Slim is concise with his thoughts, chooses his words carefully, and is one hell of a welder.
Whether it be his various handlebar designs, hardtailing Evo Sportsters, fabbing complete rollers, or building a rear-engined NOS-fogged Hemi-powered van on his days off, Slim's engineering brings amazement from gearheads and artists alike.
We invited ourselves over to Slim's residence and set the legendary photographer Ed Fox loose with his camera to pick up the visual tao of Slim, while we roamed his estate and tried not to get bitten by rattlesnakes or black widows.
