Choppers Only Show Rocks Honolulu For The Third Year
Cory Ness, Matt Hotch, Chica, and Eddie Trotta lined up to sign posters at the Third Annual Choppers Only Show, sponsored by Bikernet.com. The show was held on the 4th of July weekend, spread over the rolling grassy campus of KCC (Kauhana Community College) adjacent to Diamond Head near the tourist mecca of Waikiki. Deacon of Pro Street Custom Cycles Hawaii (ProStreetHawaii.com) initiated the show to bring recognition to the island builders. There are a couple of distinct chopper styles on the islands, which we'll share with you in the near future. It's rapidly turning into a Hawaiian biker weekend with parties, and shop open houses everyday. Watch Bikernet.com for news on next year's event or stay tuned here for the local-boy feature.
The Best of Show trophy went to Roger of Kustom Fab for his Tiki Chopper. If you're lucky, you'll see it here on the pages of Street Chopper.
Massachusetts Delivers The Strangest Law Of The Month
House Bill 2017, a bill that would allow motorcyclists the use of the breakdown and access lanes on highways during backed-up traffic, has been introduced in Massachusetts to allow traffic relief for motorcyclists and to avoid overheating occurrences in heavy traffic.
The "Motorcyclists' Seasonal Traffic Congestion Relief Act," sponsored by the Massachusetts Motorcycle Association (MMA), would allow motorcyclists on Massachusetts roads with two or more travel lanes in the same direction, when traffic is traveling at 10 mph or less, to use the breakdown and access lanes, at speeds no greater than 20 mph, yielding to emergency and disabled vehicles.
In other action, House Bill 1983, submitted at the request of the MMA, would prohibit any municipality or the state from banning motorcycles on any public road.

Sucker Punch Sally's Old School Choppers New Stuff
Sucker Punch Sally's, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, has been in the bike business for generations. Donny Loos and Jeff Cochran both come from a long line of old-school bike builders, and there is no chance you will ever see them riding some billet barge. Jeff and Donny have been busy these days spending most of their time coming up with innovative new parts and assembling their old-school production choppers, rollers, and working man's kits.
"We build bikes and rollers for guys that work for their paycheck. We try to give them the best deal that we can, because we know that everyone doesn't want the shiny chrome barges that you see that are slapped together by some fly-by-night custom shop. This is in our blood; both Donny and I have been building bikes for over twenty years and stand behind our products," says Cochran.
SPS just launched two new parts: the H-Bomb Oil Bag for $499.95 and the Hot Rod Fender Struts for $49.95 each, which are featured in the new Jammer Handbook.
Sucker Punch Sally's is the place to go for a totally custom old-school chopper, or if you are looking for a roller to start your own projects at home. Sucker Punch Sally's can deliver on that old-school bike you are looking for at a reasonable price. $15,995 will buy you their Sucker Punch base model. You can visit them on the Web at www.suckerpunchsallys.com, or call them at (513) 353-2803.
Need Sportster Inspiration?
Chances are your Sportster could use an overhaul. In fact, with the right game plan, it could be a really sweet ride. Top Shelf Customs used the frame you see here for one of its custom projects. After seeing how cool the ride turned out overall, the guys at the shop thought other people would like to get their own Sportster projects started on one of these babies as well. The Top Shelf Customs Frame is made with the top standard DOM steel tubing featuring a hidden axle. It also sports a 2-inch stretch, 34-degree rake, and is 2 inches under in the single downtube. It will accept up to a 150mm tire with chaindrive or 130mm with a belt. Use with all Evo-style, Sportster, or Buell engines.
There are a lot of people out there that have a Sportster and don't know what to do with it - well here you go. For more information, contact: Top Shelf Customs, (714) 903-8042, www.topshelfcustoms.com.
