You're Riding In Good Hands
We have all seen the commercials on television, but who knew that Allstate insurance was so involved in the motorcycle arena?
Allstate, who offers outstanding tailored policies to their clients, has just unveiled their custom chopper at the recent Biketoberfest motorcycle rally in Daytona Beach, Florida. The slick Allstate bike is a symbol of their dedication to today's motorcycle lifestyle and a promotion of Chopper College, a Chicago-based training school that combines coursework and hands-on motorcycle building techniques.
Tommy "Clutch" Creal, CEO and owner of Chopper College and designer of the Allstate bike, incorporated some very interesting ideas while mocking up and building the insurance company's rolling business card. The bike is equipped with two carburetors and four intakes and features air ride suspension at both ends, which eliminates the need for a pesky kickstand. "The Allstate Chopper is one bad bike," Creal said. "Our goal was to build something that represented the more than 600 Allstate agents who ride motorcycles- something that said, 'Yeah, we speak your language.'"
Allstate and Chopper College teamed up in '07 as they embarked on their own six-stop, cross-country motorcycle rally, which they plan to continue in '08. The rallies have featured interactive classroom activities that educate rally attendees on the latest in building theory, riding safety, and the latest developments in Allstate's motorcycle insurance policies. Another bonus in attending upcoming '08 Allstate rallies is the chance to register to win their custom chopper. That's right: the lucky winner will be drawn at the end of their '08 tour, so enter the sweepstakes, enjoy the rally, and learn about an insurance company that rides with you.

The Shelby Motorcycle Is Web Bound
Rucker Performance, along with Shelby Automobiles, Inc., have launched a website solely dedicated to The Shelby motorcycle. The site provides visitors with all the latest information regarding the bike as well as an opportunity to purchase official Rucker/Shelby performance apparel.
Another cool feature found on the site is a detailed spec sheet on The Shelby and an array of photos of the bike itself, as well as Carroll Shelby's tour of the Rucker Performance shop. Enthusiasts can also subscribe to a monthly e-newsletter so they can stay informed on the latest developments on The Shelby bike.
A limited edition of 25 individually numbered Shelby collector motorcycles have been made available exclusively from Rucker Performance, so balance that checkbook and buy yourself a piece of motorcycle history.
Hopefully, atop your New Year's resolutions list is starting a new project or finishing a build that you have been working on throughout '07.
