Instead of messing around with all the wiring and hassle of a hand control mounted starter and a starter relay, Custom Cycle Engineering (CCE) has developed a product to eliminate that mess, a solenoid housing switch (sometimes known as a slam starter button). If you already have a starter switch and relay, the switch also serves as a backup system for a fried starter switch or relay malfunction. Originally, CCE made the part as a tool that was used for tuning because it bumped the motor around easily instead of turning the rear tire by hand to adjust timing.
Talk about easy installation - three bolts! The Solenoid Housing Switch replaces the stock solenoid cover on 1.4kw, '91-and-later starters, plus CCE makes switches for aftermarket 1.4, 1.6, 2.0, and 2.4kw starters as well as in different styles and finishes.
