The trap door was then tightened per the JIMS method and torqued to spec; check the website or the spec sheet for details.

The additional shift forks were then installed through the top lid opening.

The shift-fork shaft was installed through the trap door while holding the shift forks in position.

The shifter-shaft endplay was set at .020 inch.

The shifter mechanism, pillow blocks, and shifter drum were installed.

Next, the chrome top lid with neutral switch was installed, along with a gasket.

The side cover was installed over the trap door. You can see that the cover is wider than stock, and you may need to modify your stock exhaust pipes or get a custom set made.

The last step was the main seal. You need to make sure that this seal is not damaged. Before installing the transmission in your bike, look to see that the seal is clean and free of any marks.
