To that end they have used a piece of square stock to create a centerline; the stock is resting on a length of tape stretched across the frame near the axle plates. |  With the lower sections of...  With the lower sections of the frame clamped together, the final alignment was triple-checked from every direction. |  The lower section is tack-welded...  The lower section is tack-welded on either side of the frame. After checking all of the dimensions again, the frame is welded together, doing a small amount on one side then moving to the other side to prevent the frame from warping. |
