In installment number two of our Pangelino ground-up build we have decided that even though our catalog-purchased wishbone frame from V-Twin Mfg. was perfect in every way like all of their remanufactured and restoration parts, we still needed to do some chopping on it. We are a chopper magazine aren’t we?
We didn’t want to get too crazy and rake or stretch it, but just wanted to get rid of all of the OEM features on the frame like the toolbox, speedo, coil, and fatbob mounts. We also wanted to window the neck casting like they did back in the day as well as clean up some of the other castings and additional spots on the frame to make it look good before we took it to paint.
After seeing our pal T-Bone from Noise Cycles’ recent Shovelhead build with the same V-Twin Mfg. frame, we contacted him to do our dirtywork. After conning the poor boy into cleaning up our frame, we also took it one step further and had T-Bone rework and install our Lowbrow Customs P-Nut tank with relocated Wargasser gas cap. We’re sure his arm is still sore from all the twisting we did to get this thing looking right, but the proof is in the banana pudding as they say down south.
Check out what kind of sweet noise our boy T-Bone laid down for us. STC

[5] As you can see ordering parts “by the books” can be a nice alternative to fixing up old rusted frames as well as alleviating the time involved in rehabbing dented and destroyed tanks. Watch the build of this bike at streetchopperweb.com
